How do I set up a Customer Account? Click on the Contact Us link on the Home page and email us your name, phone number, address, and email address. (rewards@blackforestwoodworks.com) You will receive a confirmation email that your account has been established. Once you have set up an account, you are automatically enrolled in our Rewards Program and will begin receiving email alerts on new products and special offers.
If you have not established a customer account prior to placing an order, when
you go to checkout after shopping the Customer Information form will need to be
completed. You may also complete the Customer Information form found on our
downloadable order forms and email/fax same. Please update your Customer
Information as needed so that we may continue to provide you with excellent
service.
Select the
product you are interested in (i.e. music box,
keepsake box, bookend set, etc.) then select the style or item image and you
will be linked to an order form.
You may also click on the convenient downloadable forms links available
throughout our website and be linked to an order form. Complete the order form by indicating the required information for your
selection (i.e. wood type, lid style/style description, music movement, felt
color, etc.). Indicate the quantity being ordered. Once you have completed the
form you will be asked to confirm your order and edit any information before
proceeding to checkout. We offer the convenience and security of paying with PayPal. Please print a copy of your order for your records. You will receive an
email confirmation when your order has shipped. If your selected item has an
engraving option, you will need to complete the engraved text order form prior
to checkout. The product I selected has an engraving option. How do I place my engraving order? Select the engraving box on
your order form and the engraved text order form will drop down. Select your
product lid/image style. Select your font style and then type the desired text
to be engraved. Please note your product selection and lid/image style will have
maximum character limits based on your font selection. When you complete the
engraved text form type the text as you would like it to appear with regard to
upper and lowercase, spacing, punctuation, etc. Please note that spaces between
letters/numbers and punctuation are to be included in character count total. How long will it take to receive my order from your design gallery/standard product line?
Because we handcraft each
item with attention to detail, please allow two weeks from your order placement
for your order to be built. We will email you an order confirmation when your
order has shipped. Our design gallery includes our titled lid styles in
religious, Irish, wildlife, nature, nautical, patriotic and western themes.
First email us the digital
profile only picture you would like immortalized in a custom carved lid. We will
create an electronic model image for you and email it to you in a .pdf format
along with a quote based on your product selection, wood type, etc. When you
place your order go to the custom order section of the order form page and enter
your quote number in the designated area. Allow a minimum of three weeks for
your custom order to be handcrafted. We will email you an order confirmation
when your order has been shipped. What if I want a tune/song title that is not listed on your tune list?
If you would prefer a title
that is not on our tune list, we are happy to check on the title’s cost,
availability and whether the license (if required) has been obtained by our
supplier.
For a fee we can create a custom music movement to an unlicensed musical
arrangement you provide. This requires you to provide sheet music for a minimum
of eight bars of the tune.
I would like to have a custom project built. How do we get started?
Go to the
Custom Project
Order/Quote Request Page and provide us with a detailed description of your
proposed custom project. Indicate on the Custom Project form how you heard about
Black Forest Woodworks Custom Projects. Please include in your detailed
description proposed measurements, inlays, images, recessed/relief carved
images, 3D carved figures, digital pictures, text engraving, wood type, etc. We
will confirm your quote request and provide you with a tentative electronic
model of same along with a projected quote. Custom projects require a 50%
deposit at time of customer quote/proposal acceptance and order placement. The
balance is due two weeks prior to order completion and shipment.
Please email us a digital
picture of the image and we can see if we are able to produce an electronic
model image for you. If we cannot determine whether the item can be digitized
from your digital picture we will contact you with our mailing address so you
can forward the item insured. The object to be digitized must be within the
following dimensions: 11” long x 7” wide x 2” high. Customers interested in
copyrighted images (company logos, sports teams, college emblems, etc.) would
need to obtain and provide a written release giving us permission to duplicate
the copyrighted image for the design of the custom lid. Custom lid pricing would
quoted on an individual basis.
Are you products safe and non-toxic?
We use only environmentally friendly non-toxic American brand finishes which are
applied by hand. We never spray on finishes. We eliminate waste and use recycled
products whenever possible (i.e. for packaging, office supplies, etc.). We make
it a priority to rescue wood that might otherwise end up in a wood chipper.
Anywhere we can use wood that would be too small for large furniture
construction to build our smaller products we do so. Black Forest Woodworks is
committed to maintaining an environmentally friendly workshop.
